Quick Fix: Format as Table, Convert to Range and Office Hub in Windows Phone 8

Some Excel users convert a range of cells to Table to make use of fancy table styles with colors. This is fine for use with desktop versions of Excel such as Office 2013, Office 2010 and even Office 365.

However, users may find themselves unable to edit an Excel file on their Windows Phone with Office Hub - the Formula Bar or cell will be unavailable for adding text or values.

To resolve this issue, open the Excel file using a desktop version of Office or using Excel on Office 365. Select the cells and on the Table Tools Design ribbon, click Convert to Range. You can also right-click on the cells and click Table for the Convert to Range. The formatting added using Table Styles will be retained but you can now edit or add values to cells using Office Hub in Windows Phone 8.
